F.E.A.R is a series with a storied and troubled history, that has somehow managed to remain generally beloved despite its...issues. Enough that games continue to be sporadically made at least. The latest of which, a free to play online arena cum MMO, has now made its way to Steam and it's...surprisingly good. It actually feels like a F.E.A.R game, both functionally and thematically. The former being closest to Project Origin, whilst the latter feels more like the now non-canon Extraction Point.

Now, it isn't perfect, but we shall cover that more in depth in the coming weeks, when our review comes drifting out of the ether to invade the deepest, darkest recesses of your amygdala. Until then, suffice it to say that there is enough there to appease even some of the more hardened fans, but only if you are willing to give it a chance to do so. It's free after all, what do you really have to lose?
