You Might Soon Buy a Titanfall Mouse
Titanfall is the most exciting new IP to come out of the dark, smelly depths of EA. In it, you shoot people until orbital drops delivers you a mech (a Titan) and then you shoot people while driving it – or use it to distract people while you shoot them while not piloting it. Trust me, it's great and it looks sexy.
Well, gaming peripheral company Mad Catz (better be named after the Mech of the same name) just struck a licensing deal and we'll be seeing Titanfall related signs appearing on many of its products. Included in the line are: TRITTON gaming headsets, R.A.T. mice, S.T.R.I.K.E. keyboards, F.R.E.Q. gaming headsets and G.L.I.D.E. gaming surfaces.
As for what Darren Richardson, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz Interactive, Inc., said:
"Titanfall has earned critical acclaim and won numerous awards, including Best of Show, Best Original Game, and Best Online Multiplayer at this year's E3 conference. Mad Catz is excited to bring a range of cutting-edge, innovative, Titanfall-branded products to gamers in connection with one of the most anticipated game launches in recent history. The Titanfall license builds on Mad Catz' strategy to align our product portfolio with AAA content that appeals to passionate gamers."
While I'm excited as all hell about Titanfall, I don't really know if I want, need or ever buy any of that stuff. Tell me now, oh people, are ye excited?.
