Microsoft announced that games previously regulated to Xbox Live would be making the transition to Windows 8. The first batch of games features 39 titles, 29 of which are Microsoft Game Studios titles. Among the list are games such as Blaz Blue: Calamanity Trigger, Hyrdo Thunder Hurricane, Pac-man Championship Edition DX, ilomilo, The Gunstringer, Pinball FX2, Fruit Ninja, Jetpack Joyride, Toy Soldiers: Cold War and Skulls of the Shogun.

While it's a shame that these titles will likely not be making the jump to the current generation of Windows, it seems that Windows 8 will at have a good number of strong titles to help set its place in the gaming community.

This is clearly nothing more than testing the waters. Start small and expand step by step. I guarantee MicroSoft are hoping they can show enough incentive to bring in more 'serious' gamers. It's classic carrot/stick reasoning. Give us the hope of getting the games we want, on the proviso we show commitment to them first, which will lead to them giving us what we want, so we'll bring in more people. And so on and so on

Ehh... :/ Those doesnt interest me much and for small games there is always Steam. I agree that if they want gamers to buy W8 they actually have to put games like Halo on it!

If they brought Halo and GoW over I'd be more willing to jump ships.
