Who’s Afraid Of The Wolf? Not Telltale

Telltale, the people behind the critically acclaimed Walking Dead games, have released screen shots of a new project - The Wolf Among Us. This new game will be episodic in nature, much like Telltale's other projects, and is a prequel to a Fables comic. The game will star The Big Bad Wolf (though less conspicuously named) as a detective attempting to maintain the peace amongst the fairy tale folk living in New York. The screens also feature a punch out and a smoking pig.
An interview between Game Informer and the head of Telltale, Kevin Bruner, reveals that this new game will feature more difficult moral choices and a focus on relationships much like earlier Telltale games. Apparently the game will run on a set timeline with time and location specific events that will occur whether the player is there to play them or not. Bruner elaborates on this saying, "To experience [the story] from a lot of different perspectives [and] to see what's happening everywhere, all the time you're going to have to play the game multiple times, which is something we didn't do in The Walking Dead."
I'm ashamed to say it, and it feels like a massive blow to my geek credentials, but I've never read any of the Fables comics. But it's always been a series I've been meaning to read. I guess I better catch up before the first episode of this prequel is released. But until then, be sure to browse our screen shot gallery and bask in the prettiness of these screens.
