What happens at QuakeCon, Stays at QuakeCon

After being in a hibernation sleep for many eons Doom will awaken at QuakeCon this July. While this might sound like good news and seeing as we live on Cyberspace, it would be reasonable to assume that footage would be released for us to watch? This is not going to be the case unfortunately.
Bethesda and ID have planned to make this an exclusive unveiling for the attendees of QuakeCon 2014 only. In a blog post by Bethesda they made this announcement:
"You've been clamoring for it for years, and now the wait is almost over. As announced in our E3 teaser trailer, fans in attendance at QuakeCon 2014 will have the opportunity to get a sneak peek at what's been going on with the new DOOM game from id Software.
"This an exclusive thing we are doing for attendees as part of our Annual QuakeCon Welcome presentation. We'll have plenty more to show everyone at a later date, but we didn't want another QuakeCon to go by without doing something special for the amazing QC community and id supporters that have been with us for more than 20 years."
There is not going to be a stream of the event either and this was confirmed by Bethesda to Polygon. I can't really see ID keeping this from it's legions of Doom fans around the world, unable to attend the event for very long. With rumours going around that all is not well with development at ID, the more pressing issue is will it look good or not? The tech legend and QuakeCon Public speaker, John Carmack, is not even part of the team.
This could be an interesting event. So if anyone attending the event is reading this, can you wear a spy camera please so that footage can be snuck out? Thanks.

I'm calling it now. They'll 'leak' it themselves

Someone will leak it anyway.

Yeah, I don't see this lasting long. They'll get way too much flack if it does. And after RAGE, that's the last thing they need
