We Have Amnesia Again
You know how some people have their brightness turned down so low (guilty as charged) you can barely make out what's happening on the monitor/TV screen? Well Frictional have decided to make that an obligatory part of the sequel to the critically claimed Amnesia. We bring you the first screenshots for Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs.
I would give some kind of deep, profound, highly subjective interpretation of what we're looking at. What it will all mean for the upcoming game. But I can't see a bloody thing, so, y'know, makes it kinda' difficult. So, uhm, I guess the game is going to be really dark? Seriously though, that's par for the course with Amnesia. That's what it's all about. It's even part of the play mechanics. Spend too long in the shadows and you go batshit insane. So, obviously, the best way to deal with that is to MAKE EVERYTHING PITCH BLACK IN THE SEQUEL.
Not sure if I love or hate them for having the balls to do this. But one thing is for sure, this is going to scare the living poop out of people if they stay firm. Which is about time. We need more horror games that are actually, well, horrifying. The best way to do that is to leave someone in a dark room and give them no idea what's even going on. Also, the graphics engine has clearly seen a pretty hefty update. So roll on the therapy bills I say.
