We Are Watching. We Are Watched. We Are Data

The WeAreData site first appeared on Monday with a reference to yesterday's date. Predictably, that's when things got interesting, revealing a sort of special Google Maps for the Aiden Pearce in us all.
The site greets you with a choice of 3 major cities, London, Paris or Berlin. Being a Brit I chose London and from there I chose to look at the area around the Tate Modern. I was then greeted by a very sinister Google map of the area. I could see trains travelling along the underground in real time, I could look at specific geo-tagged tweets and flickr uploads and I could even see unemployment and crime rates for an area. I was fascinated.
Ubisoft explains WeAreData, saying, "Watch_Dogs WeareData gathers available geolocated data in a non-exhaustive way. We only display the information for which we have been given the authorization by the sources. Yet, it is already a huge amount of data. You may even watch what other users are looking at on the website through Facebook connect."
I spent a good half hour just investigating the areas of the map where there were a congregation of flickr uploads and trying to figure out why or simply marvelling at the average salary made per month in an area. It's absorbing as well as terrifying which is clearly what Ubisoft were going for with this site. Check it out.

I dont think this map is 100% accurate. Tried to find my home but couldn't.
