Warframe is Now One Year Old

Warframe is a third person action game that has the markings of a Japanese game, but somehow is made by Canadians. You play as a Tenno, an ancient badass trained in use of Warframes, lithe suits of power armor, now awoken from cryogenic sleep and out to fight Grineer, Corpus and others, somewhat less human factions infesting the Solar system. And this game is now one year old.

Warframe launched a year ago, with a PC open beta, it had a little over 330.000 registered Tenno. A year later, it's being played on PS4 too, and there are almost 8 million registered space ninjas. From every country in the world, they say!

It's constantly in the top 5 of free games on Steam, one of the top 10 played on Raptr and, if you care about things like that, second most downloaded application on PS4. These days, people craft about 15 thousand Warframes and 56 thousand weapons a day. A far cry from 31 and 2419 a year ago.

Although, the most impressive stat, I think, are the 4,846,081,953+ Grineer Lancer kills. That's a lot of dead genetically deformed clone soldiers! Daily Lancer kills rose about 5000% percent.

And all of that in defiance of 66/100 (and 63/100 in filthy Consolelandia) Metracritic score.
