Want a Shot at a Lovecraftian Adventure?
Another game based off of Lovecraftian horror is trying to be born, this time, hopefully keeping in tradition with Lovecraft faithfully. There have been plenty of edgy or campy takes on the subject matter, such as The Reanimator, or tabletop takes, like the Call of Cthulhu games. However, there hasn’t ever really been any great video games on the topic of the Cthulhu mythos, until now.
In The Eldritch Cases: Dagon, you play a character that has to escape from a mental institution to uncover a small town’s cover up of the plans of the Esoteric Order of Dagon. The game is slated to be for Windows, Mac, and Linux, and will offer two playable characters to navigate through this point and click adventure game. It also offers language support in German and English. However, with only 17 days left to reach his goal, Thomas Busse is nowhere near close enough in his funding to make this dream a reality.
If you like the idea, or what you’ve seen in the trailer, make it a point to donate to him, or else you might not get to see it made.
