Well, he cares about Red, the mute singer carrying him. Transistor is a sword that talks in the game of the same name, built by the good people of Supergiant Games. The same ones that gave us Bastion, which had the most bad-ass voice-over narrator and was proof that artsy games can still let you shoot and stab stuff.

Greg Kasavin, the creative director for the game, told Polygon, that Transistor's narrator will be different. Unlike the one in Bastion, he doesn't know about the future. He knows things about the past, he can talk about the present, but the future? We'll, that's above a probably digital, most likely dead lover embodying sword's pay grade.

But whatever we take away from our journey with him, Greg hopes it's going to be the fact that Transistor cares about Red. Aw, finally a magical weapon who isn't an asshole or a comic relief character. Well, judging by the skill of the crew, we're surely going to get all of the stuff they want us to get.

Plus, you know, the whole turn based combat thing. Huzzah!
