Publisher Devolver Digital and indie developer Vlambeer announced ‘Luftrausers’, an arcade style aerial combat game set to overtake the skies in late 2012. This is the second collaboration between DD and Vlambeer, the first being Serious Sam: The Random Encounter.

The game promises deep combo focused gameplay with simple arcade style controls. In addition, players will be able to customize their Luftrausers with a variety of parts that change the handling and weapons, as well as altering the soundtrack. The beats behind the game will be provided by DJ Kozilek.

Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker had this to say as well:

“For every plane that is shot down in LUFTRAUSERS I pledge to personally donate a portion of the profits from the game to an exotic dancer of my choosing. Call me old-fashioned but I have soft spot in my heart for ladies willing to take their clothes off for money.”
