Valve and Nexon Team Up For DOTA 2 in Asia
Nexon and Valve have announced an agreement between the two companies which would have Nexon publish and distribute Dota 2 in Korea and Japan.
“Partnering with Nexon will allow us to deliver Dota 2 to a massive audience of Asian gamers via a premium service,” said Gabe Newell, President of Valve.
The deal with Nexon, Valve hopes, will help the game grow in the asian markets, important to a game’s success in eSports to reach a national appeal. Dota 2 is an already rising star in eSports, but has a ways to go to catch up with the other popular MOBA game, League of Legends.
