Well, to the surprise of nobody, it seems Far Cry 3, gorgeous tiger-hunting simulator and part-time first-person shooter, has sold brilliantly - recently reaching 4.5 million copies. I for one am extremely pleased as to this turn of events, Far Cry 3 is a game that deserves to be spread amongst the community as much as it could.

Ubisoft is doing well for itself, selling 12 million copies of Assassins Creed 3 and earning a total of 802 million over the Christmas quarter last year. Let us hope that all this money doesn't get into Ubi's head and they continue to produce great games like the recent Far Cry 3 and Assassins Creed 3 while not turning back to things like always online DRM...Watch Dogs anyone?
