Transformers: Rise of the Prime

By acharris7727-03-2014

Activision has revealed new images of Optimus Prime from the upcoming Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark. The videogame is set to complement the new film being released by Paramount Pictures - Transformers: Age of Extinction.

Optimus Prime is going to be playable in three different modes:

• Cybertron – Optimus Prime is a noble autobot leader dedicated to preserving all life. He uses his strength and bravery to rally his heroic Autobots to wage their battle against the evil forces of the Decepticons.

• Earth – Optimus Prime is the heroic leader of the Autobots. A brave and formidable warrior, he will stop at nothing to protect the rights of all sentient life on his new home planet Earth.

• Earth – G1 Optimus Prime is back by popular demand. This legendary character, available in Escalation mode, allows you to play alongside your comrades as one of the toughest and most respected Autobots in history.

I will be honest of the selection of playable Primes modes above, the one I am interested in is the G1. Probably because he was my favourite from my childhood, which is when the first generation of them came out. Let us know who your favourite Transformer was.

At least they're including G1 Prime and not making the Bayformer the default. You know what I'd like to see though? Powermaster Prime. He doesn't get the love he deserves

I just hope that this don't fall into the trap of a poor movie-tie in. Apparently though, it is to complement it so we have to wait and see.

I still don't know what to think about this game. High Moon did a fantastic job with War for Cybertron, though I felt a little let down by Fall of Cybertron. Now a different company is making one and they are using the Cybertron designs from High Moon, but also Michael Bay's (Why oh why did he give Optimus a mouth?) designs so I don't know what to expect.
