Under most circumstances, the auctioning off of an IP, even one as old as Total Annihilation, would be a cause for concern and even consternation. This is not one of them. Wargaming.Net - the up and rising developer of World of Tanks and similar games, has not only succeeded in purchasing Gas Powered Games, famed for Supreme Commander, one of the best RTS games ever made, but has also just managed to get his hands on the Total Annihilation IP, the game which actually inspired Supreme Commander.

You can see where this is going. With the IP to make the base, and the company to make it happen, it is only a matter of time before we are graced with a heavy-hitter, and one that shows all the promise of hitting the ball way out of the court. We're waiting on you Chris, don't let us down.
