Torment: Tides of Numenera, spiritual successor to Planescape: Torment, has begun it's Kickstarter campaign, asking for a fairly modest $900,000. Fast forward one day, and it's currently received over one million in pledges (and climbing). There are no specifically stated stretch goals yet, but the developers do assure everyone that any extra will be put back into the game. From the description of the project, Torment looks to be just the deep, old school RPG that we were promised that it would be, and you can feel the passion of the developers and conceptual artists behind the game. You can donate over the next 30 days, and receive the sweet goodies that the team have put up as rewards.
