Tom Clancy’s Generic Rainbows
Stop me if you've heard this one: An elite team gathered together for the purpose of fighting some faction/entity/etc each with their own "unique" abilities that may or may not distinguish them from each other. Well, the latest to adopt this tried and true formula is Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6: Siege. This time the faction/entity/etc is supplied by non-specific terrorists, the equally tried and true. It really says something when the most original part of the game is that one of the characters can put up walls. Yeah, bullet-proof walls. I can really feel the tactical-ness. Truth be told, it makes my head hurt to see the line "a new approach to the first-person shooter experience" while at the same time doing absolutely nothing that hasn't already been done to death.

Oh Ubi. Can't go and make something original now can you? Don't want to risk that!
