TIGA and Train2Game Part Ways

The Independent Game Developers' Association (TIGA) has decided to sever ties with Train2Game. Train2Game is a distance learning provider, offering courses in a number of Game Industry disciplines. TIGA has stepped down from its role as an external examiner for the distance learning provider's tests, will no longer accredit their courses and therefore shall no longer award TIGA diplomas to those studying on them. Due to the ending of this business relationship, Train2Game is no longer allowed to say or imply they are endorsed by TIGA (though at the time of writing, their official website still said they were). In light of this news, TIGA have reassured that they are still very much committed to their role in UK Games education.
TIGA represents a number of game developers in the UK and Europe, so their rescinding accreditation will be a blow to those who have already given their time and money to Train2Game to study on their (up to three year long) courses. TIGA have not yet revealed the reasoning behind their decision and have not yet issued further comment.
