The Truth? It’s Rated M

The Stick of Truth is a South Park based game, and there is no getting away from that fact. So is it any surprise to anyone that it has been rated M for mature? Probably not, as anyone who has ever seen an episode of Trey Parker and Matt Stone's hit series knows what it is about. Even a song was released that was talking about Chef's Chocolate Salty Balls.

Where to begin with how South Park got the mature rating? The ESRB rating says that the game will contain: Blood and Gore, Drug Reference, Mature Humor, Nudity, Strong Language, Strong Sexual Content, Violence. Let us take a look at an example of where it could get the rating from. First up is "Mature humour and Sexual Content", this is an extended scene which features anal probing, the kind that managed to get Saints Row banned in Australia.

Everything else seems not too bad: I mean how terrible can a level be when you are inside a colon, amongst sex toys and faecal matter? We also have the promise of male genitals on show, instead of boobs, which I am unsure if I want see gentlemen bits on screen, but each to their own I suppose. I myself do not see where the problems lay, but there will always be people who are prudish and will always complain about things. So I have just one thing to say to these people: "Screw you guys! I'm going home."

Really excited for this title, love South Park and love Cartman... Really just stuck between choosing the platform to buy it for... PS3 or PC... hard choice for this kind of title. Seems like a great couch game :D
