This isn't the first trailer we've seen from Ride To Hell: Retribution. It's also not the only game titled "Ride To Hell" releasing in June with Deep Silver as publisher.

The game has had a bit of a rocky development cycle. Originally slated to release back in 2009, it was cancelled for mysterious reasons. However, the game apparently got re-announced a few months ago, and seems to be headed straight for the market - lock, stock and barrel. It tells the story of an unnamed Vietnam veteran returning to the US in the late 1960s, where he is apparently thrust into "a world dominated by motorcycle gangs and violence, where a man's mettle is proven through the roar of his engines and the weight of his fist". That is, according to a recent press statement from Deep Silver.

Sadly, if you ask me, it doesn't seem like that much change can have been made to Retribution since the game got canned back in the later parts of last decade. The graphics look like something that would be decent if the game was released back in the mid-2000s. And even then, I don't know if it could hold a candle against such big-hitters as Half-Life 2, The Chronicles of Riddick or Far Cry. Deep Silver themselves claim that the game will supposedly have "endless opportunities", as players are allowed to customize their own bike exactly the way they want it. Let's hope Retribution turns out to actually be decent game, when it releases later in June. In the meantime, check out the game's customization in the screenshots below.
