Initially announced as "Full Steam Ahead", the sequel to cult multiplayer backstabbing simulator The Ship, is now heading over to Kickstarter as The Ship 2: Full Steam Ahead.

Additionally, the developers of the original game, Outerlight, will NOT be involved in the upcoming game. Blazing Griffin also released two pieces of concept art, giving a sliver of an idea of just what may be in store.

While the original has had a bit of spotlight on it thanks to recent Steam and Indie Royale sales, as well as a generous extra copy being issued with each sale, The Ship still remains a cult curiosity. It will be interesting to see if Blazing Griffin can drum up enough interest to fully fund a sequel.
