You know how I said earlier this week that The Evil Within would see release in August? Disregard that; The Evil Within will now be released in North America on October 21st, in Australia on October 23rd and then in Europe on October 24th. According to the press release, the reason for this slight delay is so that Shinji Mikami's team at Tango Gameworks may "further balance and refine the game in order to deliver the polished, terrifying pure survival horror experience they set out to create".

In addition to the release date change, the same press release mentions special pre-order goodies. These goodies exist in the form of The Fighting Chance Pack, which includes various health enhancements and a few beefier weapons, such as a double barrel shotgun and an incendiary and a poison agony bolt. Both the new release date and the pre-order incentive pack are highlighted in the new reaction video trailer above.
