The Kid is Red Now

I haven't finished Bastion yet...THERE, I SAID IT! Not because I don't like it much, mind you, quite the opposite in fact, but because I want to prolong the game's length as much as I can and delay the (possibly) bittersweet end that the game is all but screaming about with its tone. I don't know if that's a compliment or not, but I can assure you that few games have made me do this and those games ended up sticking to me thus far in my life. If Transistor ends up eliciting even half of that feeling that Bastion managed to, then I will consider it a personal mission of mine to have as many people in the world be aware of Supergiant and their work! Yeah.

Anyway, the devs recently showcased some gameplay at Sony's E3 press conference and, if first impressions are anything to go by, it looks like it might play a LOT like Bastion. Which is great! I love the incorporation of the sidescrolling elements as well; they look like a great way to break up the more hacky-slashy pace of the isometric levels.

I really like the look of the combat in this game. In Bastion I have a tendency to mash the buttons (and end up accidentally drinking all of my potions at inopportune moments) so that's why I like that Transistor has the option to plan combat moves.
