Valhalla Game Studios has finally announced their third-person shooter Devil's Third, will be released 2014. Originally scheduled for early 2013, the game hit a stumbling block with unexpected costs to the engine used to power the game, which Prompted THQ to pull the plug. All of the rights, including development and distribution were transferred back to Itagaki.

Speaking in an interview with Japanese publication 4Gamer, Itagaki said: "Next year will be the year we'll be releasing the console game, Devil's Third. At the moment, it is about 80% complete, and we can about see the end of it. However, there's still a little more polishing that needs to be done. That's also one of the reasons I've decided to work independently."

"For you fans out there, I'd like to apologize for making you worry .We'll be going all out next year, so please look forward to it." Desginer Itagaki last summer claimed that it was: "pretty well along". "I'm building upon the context I've created up to now to provide gameplay that will really surprise people. I'm not sure there's really a game like this on consoles, and I'd like fans to know that I'm definitely building this up Itagaki-style."

Hopefully this time around there won't be any unexpected roadblocks and the game will actually get released. I am looking forward to hearing more about this title.
