The Dead Linger Invades Steam Early Access
Woah, open-world zombie-apocalypse survival simulator The Dead Linger has come a long way! Though it is still in the middle of the alpha stage, it has made major strides and is becoming quite a looker compared to last time I saw it. From its humble beginnings as a relatively successful Kickstarter project through various development stages and now to this, The Dead Linger hopes to be "the definitive zombie apocalypse survival, in every sense of the word", offering a large and completely open world, free-form barricading of defences, multiplayer and tons of slow-walking zombies.
The Dead Linger's 10th build launches on September 27 through Steam's Early Access program, and with it comes a whole host of changes, improvements and expansions. The easiest one to spot if you check out the trailer above, is the significantly improved visuals. The world now looks a lot more lush and vivid, which is kind of important for these games.
The Dead Linger is still far from completed, but you will be able to purchase it on Steam and take part in the pre-release builds of the game already now on the coming friday. The price, according to this update on the game's site, is listed at $19.99/£14.99/€18.99, with an option to purchase a 4-pack.
