The City is Lost
Yesterday morning, after five years of fighting the good fight, NCSoft gave us the sad news that Paragon Studios are hanging up their capes for good. The City of X games, along with the entire studio, are being closed down. No clear reason has been given yet, but it seems certain that it is not something they will change their minds about. They do, however, have plans to go out in style. And with this being an F2P, there's no reason to not come and witness the end of an era for yourself. The fact this has happened so suddenly could be seen as a very bad sign. Though, for the moment, the full ramifications are no more than speculation. I know I, for one, will be following the news closely, and will be returning to the streets of Paragon City to see that justice is done before the bulldozers tear it all down. And as Andy Belford, Paragon Studios Community Manager said to the community:
Thank you. Thank you for your years of support. You've been with us every step of the way, sharing in our challenges, encouraging us to make City of Heroes better, more than everyone else thought it could be. We couldn't have come this far without you. I implore you all, focus on the good things of CoH and Paragon Studios. Don't dwell on the "how" or the "why", but rather join us in celebrating the legacy of an amazing partnership between the players and the development team.
Thank you and I'll see you in the skies, one last time.
We'll tell you more as we hear it, but for now leave a comment what do you think.
