The Bureau: DLClassified
In a move that will surprise no one ever, 2K Games have announced that their upcoming tactical shooter The Bureau: XCOM Declassified will be getting a slew of DLCs, meant to expand on the universe of the game through new stories, missions and so on. Morgan Gray, development director over at 2K Marin, gives us the low-down:
"The alternate 1962 universe that we've created for The Bureau is vast and there are many more stories to tell about the early days of XCOM. [...] We will continue to expand the XCOM universe by telling original stories set in the paranoia-drenched Cold War era of The Bureau."
In addition to the plans of post-release content, there will also be - wait for it, waaaait foooor iiiit - pre-order DLCs! Yep, that's right! Surprised? Shocked? Stunned? According to the article linked above, the "Codebreakers" side-mission will be available to those who pre-order the game at select outlets. The rest will likely be able to get the same mission later on, for a fee. They can't just be giving that stuff out for free now, can they?
The game is slated for release on August 23.
