After reading the headline, you can be excused for your spider-sense tingling. Activision and Beenox are joining forces to create The Amazing Spider-Man 2 game. This announcement came from Marvel representatives, at the New York Comic-Con. The game setting will be an open world Manhattan, and like the previous title, the plot will not be based on the movie.

This time, players will be playing various parts of the game as Spider-man altered ego, Peter Parker. Implemented as well will be a morality system called "Hero or Menace." This system will either reward or punish the player, depending on how they deal with a crisis in the city, though Jameson, Chief Editor of The Daily Bugle, will still see him as a menace.
