The All-Stars All New Approach
According to Chris Sigaty, probably best known as the Production Director for Starcraft 2, has told Eurogamer that the enigmatic All-Stars will be geared at an alternate business model. What, precisely, this means is unclear, and the official statement hasn't cleared up much either, only that their priority is to:
"Pull off a game with a different business model than Starcraft 2, because Starcraft 2 is a box. We intend to do something different with the business model in Blizzard All-Stars, something more closely resembling the other types of games in that genre, the MOBA-style games that are out there."
He did go on, at least, to say that he does not think Starcraft 2 will be needed, and that it is most likely to be a standalone game, which flies in the face of speculation that it would be included as part of the upcoming Heart of the Swarm expansion. I suppose it's no real surprise that all we're going to hear is more cryptic hints, given that the game has been in the works since at least 2010, and has evidently undergone a complete reboot since then. But what, wonder, will it all lead to? Tell us what you think below.
