Focus Home Interactive and Rogue Factor announced details about the first video game adaptation of Games Workshop's classic Mordheim. Set in Warhammer's decimated city, Mordheim: City of the Damned is a turn-based tactical game in which you take control of the Warbands and lead them into bloody battles. Featuring a mixture of RPG elements, fast-paced combat and intricate unit customisation in a time of chaos where only the strong survive.

After the Comet of Sigma hit Mordheim, the city turned into a dangerous battlefield. The Warbands fight fiercely for control of neighbourhoods, looking for glory and fortune by collecting valuable Wrydstone fragments. All the factions are here - Sisters of Sigmar, Possessed, Skaven, Mercenaries from the Empire, and many more.

Strategy is crucial to take out your rivals and failure is not an option, or your units might lose a body part...or worse. Make use of the unique buildings, ruins or street layouts to cunningly defeat your foes. Looting hidden weapons and items, or stealing from fallen enemies helps you in your fight. In the City of the Damned there are multiple missions for the single player, or a really challenging multiplayer mode against fellow gamers.

Mordheim: City of the Damned is set to be released late 2014. So for now enjoy the screenshots that they revealed with the announcement.
