With further enhancements to Steam with being updated easily on game patch changes and music while in game comes a brand new feature that'll make browsing the Steam store so much easier, Steam Tags. Currently in beta, it will allow you to tag games and software on the store front with what you think is most appropriate to categorise it in. If you think it deserves more than the tag of say, 'Action' or 'Adventure' you could come up with your very own tags, such as 'Military' or 'First Person'. How do you do this you ask? Visit any store page on Steam and click on the brand new '+Add your own tags' button to the right.

You can even search through popular tagged pages in your own native language, according to what your localised language is set on steam. Although just because you add certain tags the storefront, doesn't necessarily mean others will see it, but if more people add the exact same tag to the same game, it'll become an official tag that people will be able to browse with and see it marked in certain search criteria.

Speaking of search criteria, along with this update is improvements to the search functionality of the store. If you want to filter down certain result criteria with games that have Steam cloud? No problem, you'll easily be able to select this when searching for certain games using specific tags for example. So, how do you get access to it? If you own a Steam account, you should be able to browser through your own tags and other popular tags in the community.
