Suit up With Some Workshop ARMAments
ATTENTION SOLDIERS! You'll probably all know that ARMA 3 has been confirmed to be a Steam exclusive with Steamworks functionality, although it wasn't really elaborated on what they planned to do with it other than benefiting them and with providing us an offline mode.
Now Bohemia have detailed that the game will be fully integrated with Valve's Steam Workshop, allowing users to create and upload their own content, as well as downloading others to enjoy. You'll be able to create it with ARMA 3's in-game editor to create in-game scenarios that could be multiplayer focused, or even singleplayer focused. You'll be able to spawn props, soldiers, armaments, vehicles, aircraft etc. Bohemia have stated that you'll easily be able to download user made content in game without restarting the game by subscribing to it in the workshop and it will download while you are still playing.
Of course you probably don't need me to ramble on about being able to upload videos and screenshots of your work, because that should be simple enough to do, right? Well it should be easy for most people, I'm sure you guys can figure it out! Anyway, the game is set to come out of beta on September 12th. However you'll need to wait for the campaign in rather small but chunky bursts.
