Steam Controller Delay

Steam Controller is Valve's very interesting and non-standard take on gamepads. It tries to handle games made for mouse and keyboard and manages it better than other gamepads. Still, its design is not yet set in stone, with the latest change being the removal of touchscreen and addition of standard select/play/Steam buttons in the centre as well as two diamond groups of four buttons each near the touchpads.
The original estimated release date for Steam machines with their controllers was 2014. However, it is Valve we are talking about, so 2015 now seems a more realistic release date. On the brighter side of things – Valve are currently testing wireless controllers and want to ensure quality. While delay is unfortunate, the dedication for quality is very nice, as we cannot just patch issues with the hardware yet.
