Valve’s efforts to bring Steam and their games to Linux have progressed to the beta stage. Private external beta will start in October with 1000 users. It will include:

• Steam
• 1 Valve game (even if users don’t own it for Win/Mac)
• Ubuntu 12.04 support (Should work on other Linux distributions, but may be more problematic)
