Stand Risen In August
Piranha Bytes' Risen 3 just got a new teaser. Pretty vague with no real gameplay. Hell, the CGI clip shown reminds me more of Dark Souls than Risen.
What's more interesting though, is that the release window is announced at the end of the teaser. It's August. Yes, August 2014. It might be hard to fathom considering how the game was first announced a couple of months back. But apparently, Piranha Bytes are confident that the game is polished enough and ready to ship already by late summer this year. Though I'm not as confident, looking back to previous endeavours and how buggy they tended to be, let's just hope they know what they're doing.
In case you've never played the Risen games before, publisher Deep Silver have recently partnered up with GOG.com to offer both Risen and its sequel completely DRM-free. You know, in case you absolutely can't stand Steam or something. You weirdo. Little protip: Get the first Risen, but skip the sequel.
