Many an old fogger and hardcore tabletop grognard fondly remembers Space Hulk. It was a game where you lead a bunch of Blood Angels - Space Marines, the genetically enhanced superhuman warriors of the Imperium of Man - into an expedition into a Space Hulk, a randomly traveling mass of fused ships and space debris, usually infested by foul critters. Said Space Hulk contained Genestealers who would rip apart your elite troops one by one. It's like colonial marines and Xenomorphs, only this time humans don't suck so much. Hell, Space Marines probably don't know what "game over" means.

At any rate, we will finally be getting an official Space Hulk video game (unofficial games fell prey to Games Workshop's lawyers)! Games Workshop just announced it and the game is being developed by Full Control, little known studio that made Frontline Tactics, a free game on Steam. This is a chance of a lifetime for them, so let's hope they succeed. Game promises thematic 3D environments, a single player campaign, a coop multiplayer and a classic head-to-head multiplayers and even cross platform MP, so you could show those pansies with Macs and iOS the true might of the Angels of Death. YouTube comment section is already rife with cries and shrieks and gnashing of teeth from the unwashed masses of console players, but, as Full Control points out, they're a small studio who don't want to bite more than they can chew. A refreshing outlook, that.
