Sure, a lot of fun in SimCity has always been building a prosperous town... but isn't it more fun to watch things be destroyed? Well you can witness just that in this new SimCity trailer.

Experience meteors, hurricanes, earthquakes and more, as they lay waste to three differently constructed cities. The catch is that only one has adequate safety measures in place, such as fire stations, police stations and hospitals. Although there weren't many disasters on show here, more are promised. It seems that, as long as you have adequate infrastructure in place, you should weather the worst of the very literal storm.

I've previously written about disasters, destruction and our desire to smash in games. It looks like the new SimCity shall satisfy that particular primal urge.
