SimCity 5 Revealed to Have In-Game Store

Sigh. Well, it seems that SimCity 5, against all hopes, will succumb to the modern trend championed by EA and come with an In-Game Store. As revealed from a leaked manual on scribd.com, page 9 of it states:
Click the banner on the main menu to enter the SimCity store. Here, you'll find special add-ons for sale. Select STORE to view the full list of additional game content (both free and paid) that can provide you with new gameplay possibilities.
Although nobody is surprised by this turn of events, what truly puts the fear in me is the last statement concerning "new gameplay possibilities". The internet itself is aflame now with accusations that EA would be charging us the full price for an incomplete game, where some parts of it are left in the store, forcing people to dish out even more cash just to get the full experience. I can't bring myself to not join in the chorus, for if this truly is the case, then it is one of the most reprehensible acts a publisher can do - made brazenly for all to see. Please EA, please please please don't screw up SimCity 5. You will be ruining the childhoods of millions, dashing their hopes against grey corporate walls. You still have until March 5th till it releases. Please don't screw it up.
