Shoot War in the Face on Oct 21

By breadbitten17-10-2013

I give up, you can spin a million ways to pronounce the title but 'Warface' still sounds, and from what I suspect always will, sound nothing less than stupid, silly and not at all "war-ey". I guess there's no point to requesting developer Crytek to have the name changed though, seeing how it's already rather well established in certain regions and the fact that the game is launching pretty soon, October 21 to be exact.

The game, developed by Crytek's Kiev outfit, is free-to-play as every schmo under the sun already knows by now, but will not be "pay-to-win" and definitely not scrimp on the visuals and production values if Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli is to be believed:

"We know that free-to-play games have a bad image," Yerli said at the time. "They have a bad reputation; 'it's pay to win, it's low quality.' I completely get that, but we are making free-to-play that's high quality. It's CryEngine 3; it's a big investment."

Warface isn't expected to hit the all-consuming, all-knowing Steam since the game's premier position in Crytek's own GFACE (wincecringefacepalmfacedesk) gaming platform/social...something.
