Scripted Edge

Okay EA, we need to have a little chat. You see, when you say gameplay, funnily enough, we expect, y'know, gameplay. Not six minutes of scripted, in engine animations. It's dishonest and just plain rude. Having said that, shut up and take my money. If I was to make any complaint...well I already did, but you know what I mean. Anyway, I'm not sold on the new voice of Faith. It's okay, it just, I dunno', it lacks the subtly and cool confidence of Jules de Jongh. But then, this is a younger Faith, so there's a degree of sense to it.

Visually, the game is shaping up to be just as impressive, aesthetically, as the original, with significantly increased visual fidelity layered over the top. There are also a few tweaks to Faith's repertoire evident. Such as the ability to wall run around curved walls and grab a hold of things to do rapid turns. Whilst the hand to hand combat has been streamlined to allow so apparently fluid and none contexualised interactions with the environment. Such as kicking people through walls and over tables.

Now, I have only one question. Who the hell is Noah, and where's Merc?

Mirror's Edge Catalyst is currently scheduled to release in February of 2016 across all major platforms.
