Scream Fortress is Over but The Spookiness Goes On

While Scream Fortress 2013 may be over, but Valve has left us a few post-Halloween goodies for Team Fortress 2. First off, a couple of tweaks and fixes, such as a Helltower exploit related to switching teams while you are a ghost, and The Grandmaster, the currently unreleased, chess-themed hat, will now upgrade its model based on the users kill streak, starting as a pawn, then upgrading to a rook, then a knight, then a bishop, then queen, then finally king. The Eternaween Server enchantment, previously found at random in when opening a spooky crate, in addition to the crates contents, has been enabled, allowing it to be used to call a vote to enable Halloween restricted items for 2 hours.
Yes, you could do that, or you can simply ask your friendly, neighborhood server operator to change tf_holiday to 2, so that you can use all the items you want for as long as you want. Finally, sorry to those who collected 2012 Halloween spells and stored them in an alt account in hopes to get rich off of last years spell glitch, where expired spell could be stored in an account that doesn't launch TF2 and then traded to an account currently in TF2 so that it can be used on a hat and have spooky effects year round. The spells have been made untradable and will expire when you launch TF2. However, for those of you who have spell painted hats, some good news: The effect no longer expires and will be visible whenever Halloween is enabled.
