Yo jurors! If you’ve been following me for a while then you know I’m a proud child of the 80’s. If you didn’t already know that, now you do. I grew up in the NES era and spent many many many hours playing Metroid, Blaster Master, Contra, Castlevania, etc. I have very fond memories of these games which is why this news is kinda special to me.

After having been available on consoles since March, Axiom Verge has finally made it to PC! For those not in the know, Axiom Verge is an action adventure game that draws clear inspiration from the titles I mentioned earlier. We’re talking big bosses, platforming, side scrolling, beautiful pixel art, secrets, weapons and power ups to be found and more.

Now, I know someone reading this is going to think “yeah, drawing inspiration is good but if done poorly it’s just a clone”. Well, the console versions were very well received so the only question is if the PC port is a good one. So far, it seems to be but we need to spend much more time with it before we can give it a thumbs up or not. Are you playing it now or have been in the past? Let us know what you think if so.
