There are quite a few projects coming from the minds behind Serious Sam, as Croteam's own CEO has gone on record stating that "2014 is a Serious year for gaming". Serious Sam 3: BFE is closer than you'd think to coming to the PSN, but more importantly for our purposes (since we're clearly a cut above as PC gamers), we have a vague release date for Serious Sam 4 – later this year, in the fourth quarter. According to Croteam, there won't be any cowboys or big fluffy creepers in it, so take that as you will.

Given the release of Serious Sam 4 and all of their other related projects, it's looking like 2014 is going to be a great year for fans of the franchise. I can't speak too much on it, as I've always had a 360 for console exclusives (PS3s were just too expensive until recently), so I haven't had a chance to play any of the games, but if this is your thing – hey, here it is, get excited.
