Rome 2 will be HUGE And Run On Lower End PC’s

Members of the Total War Community attended a get together with Creative Assembly in San Francisco, wherein a bunch of questions about Rome 2 were answered. There are a lot of details, including features such as army stances, cities that grow progressively on the campaign map, and flaming pigs. The map will sport nearly 200 regions and territories, split between over 100 factions - and possibly go farther than Bactria (which is almost to India ).

But what is really interesting is the work Creative Assembly said they're doing towards making Rome 2 friendlier to lower-end machines, with CPU/GPU loads being scalable depending on the machine being used - to quote the forum page:

'People with high end machines will see the technology being pushed pretty close to what can be done. But, people with low end machines AND INCLUDING INTEGRATED GRAPHIC CHIPS will be able to run the game with graphic settings that look good.'

I'm happy about this development, there's nothing I hate more than not being able to play grand strategy games on a machine not built for them - maybe I'll be able to play Total War from the lounge with this new installment.
