Rising From The Ashes

Risen is an interesting game series. By interesting I mean, the controls are clunky, the UI is terrible, it has no optimisation, it is unfathomably buggy and it feels older than the pyramids. Somehow this mess of a series has a strong niche following, of which I am proud to be a part of. The interesting plot, the massive open world, the ruthless difficulty and the nostalgia just calls to me every time. Piranha Bytes are back with their 3rd Instalment in the Risen series - Risen: Titan Lords.
According to Piranha Bytes, Risen 3 will continue their long tradition of having a large open world, with the freedom to explore its diverse landscape.
"Like a carpenter with a handcrafted piece of furniture, we put together the story, the characters and the landscape until it all fits and the player has the possibility to discover things all around the place. You can try out and find things that others might not. Exploration is the key to our game", says Bjoern Pankratz, Project Lead at Piranha Bytes.
Risen 3: Titan Lords is set for release sometime in August 2014, and to keep us sweet, they even released some snazzy screenshots and artwork. I can only hope they can iron out the niggling issues the series is almost renowned for, so this great series can get the appreciation it deserves.

YEAH BABY! Now let's hope they learn from Risen 2, and do everything exactly OPPOSITE of how Risen 2 was, and we can have a great game!
