Resident Evil Remake

The survival Horror masterpiece just can't stay dead for long it seems. Originally released in 1996 for the PS1, getting a director's cut the next year, getting a complete remake on the GameCube during 2002, and now getting yet another remake for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.

I say "Remake," but there are A LOT of changes to this newest version including upgraded visuals, fully remastered sound effects (that work with surround sound), a widescreen mode, a scrolling camera, and the option to turn off tank controls. At this point it doesn't even look like a game that was on the PS1, it looks better than some modern games even.

Hopefully this remake brings back the charmingly bad dialogue, horrifying nightmare creatures, and a Chris Redfield with human-sized arms. Joking aside though, this remake looks amazing, and if the producers are keep their promises about trying to "preserve the original atmosphere," the game will be all the better for it. Shinji Mikami knows that Resident Evil could benefit from some survival horror elements, something more recent Resident Evil games have been lacking for years now. No date on the game yet, but Resident Evil will be coming back to life sometime in 2015 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
