Remake Gear Solid
Hideo Kojima is reportedly seeking a new studio to completely remake, again, Metal Gear Solid in the new Fox engine. But why should we care? The Metal Gear series has long been a bastion of the console world. Althought, the 'first' in the series did come with a PC release and, more recently, Metal Gear Rising made the jump, with Kojima-can also spilling the beans that he had similar plans for The Phantom Pain...eventually.
The curious thing in all of this is that Kojima is seeking a new studio. Why he wouldn't use existing staff is something of a mystery. Best as I can figure it will come down, mostly, to resource management. With the current focus being, understandably, (metal) geared around the upcoming title and everyone worshiping at the altar of Keifer Sutherland, this is probably nothing more than a practical solution to avoid diluting manpower. Whatever the reasoning, and whatever the end result, Just Add Water, probably best known for the HD remake of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, expressed their interest in a tweeted response.
"Hey @HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN we'd love to take a stab at MGS in FOX Engine... SERIOUSLY!"

I know, good remake, but if they do a real modern one that is of equal calibre, it'll probably age a lot better(hopefully).

It's already had one, on the GameCube. Bloody good one too

I think it's due a remake, hoping they don't mess it up.

I wouldn't say Kojima has run out of ideas. He steals them in the first place *shrug*

When development ideas run out, just remake an existing title! :P
