Released from Isolation

A lot sooner than we expected, The Creative Assembly have stepped up to offer us a release date for Alien: Isolation. Something more concrete than "late 2014". Speaking in a (relatively) brief, but concise presentation at Rezzed this weekend, they went over a lot of the things we already know, not really offering all that much in the way of new details. But going a long way to reinforcing, at least my, sceptical optimism. I admit it, I'm buying into the narrative. Simply put, I need this game in my life.

And here's the best part, we have only six months left to wait. Come October 7th, we can all rin, hide, scream like little girls and have our faces lovingly munched like a tasty din dins. This omlin (that's what my kid calls aliens) is a charming, sensitive soul that just wants to have you over for dinner. With you being the dinner.

Nom.

It's a good thing the protagonist isn't Amy, it's Amanda ;)

I still have issue with the protagonist being Amy. But I'm willing to overlook that...mostly

This is going to be THE Alien game fans deserve. The simple game play and intriguing story, not to mention the terrifying dynamic beast that is the xenomorph roaming the ship should make this the definitive Alien game. I played 10mins of A:CM (aka, Aliens: Complete Missfire) and deleted it. I know I will be keeping this puppy installed for much much longer
