Plants Vs Zombies has had a third-person, multiplayer co-op shooter in the works for a while now, and they've released a video with some more detail about how everything's going to work.

It seems to be a fairly standard mix of classes, with a slightly different mix for each team - Zombies having a heavy, but no sniper; Plants having a sniper, but no heavy - and the weapon range seems amazingly varied and fun (I doubt Valve will be releasing a Dolphin Shotgun for TF2 anytime soon). All up, it's looks like it's going to be a fun game that may end up being the title that a lot of newcomers to the genre start out on - and will hopefully be the title that convinces my wife that she can actually play a shooter with me.

The bad news is that there isn't a set release date for PC, even though the Xbox versions are set to come out in late February. You can currently pre-order it on Origin though, if you're interested.
