Project Phoenix
Last month AMD teased us with several screenshots of some cool super-secret project. During GDC2013, the full details were finally unveiled – Project Phoenix is the latest tech demo for Radeon HD7000 cards. Based on CryEngine 3, it showcases the latest graphical features available on DX11 cards, including AMD’s TressFX hair. The heroine of the demo is the heavily reimagined version of AMD’s mascot Ruby (it seems all that is left from old Ruby is the name and red hair colour though). Unfortunately neither the demo itself, nor any high quality video of it is available yet, so it is hard to judge how good it looks in motion at the moment.
